How long will it take to get my tank once I've placed an order?

Our orders typically ship between 24-48 hours of purchase, and customers typically receive their containers within 3-5 business days.

How much water do your tanks hold?

Each of our Smart Tanks holds 50 gallons of water (about 378 bottles of water). That’s enough drinking water for 3 people for at least 2 weeks!  

How much water do I need to store for each person?

The CDC recommends you store a 3 day supply of water per person in your household. Each person should have about 1 gallon of water a day (approximately eight glasses of water).

What are the water tank dimensions?

Each tank has a 24” diameter and is 30” tall.

Can I stack tanks on one another?

Yes. The tanks are able to stack on top of each other, but you can only stack them two high.

How hot or cold can the tank be stored? What if it freezes?

Hot and cold temperatures are not an issue, though if you choose to store the tanks outside, avoid having them in direct sunlight. It’s also smart to insulate the tanks during colder temperatures. If possible, the best storage conditions would be in a dark, dry, and cool place.

Do you offer a wholesale / drop ship / affiliate program?

Yes.

What kind of plastic is the tank made out of?

These tanks are made with Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). All tanks are certified, and all materials used are compliant with NSF/ANSI and FDA standards for water containment. The tanks are BPA free.

Do I need to treat the water?

The water does not need to be treated with bleach or other chemicals, but we do suggest filtering the water prior to usage.

How often should I replace the water with new water?

As long as you filter the water prior to use, the water can be stored indefinitely. If you choose not to filter the water, we recommend replacing the water every 6 months.

Do I need to install spigots or fittings?

The tank comes pre-assembled, however you may need to adjust the fittings after filling the tank. The bulkhead on the tank adjusts counter clockwise, and a reducer fitting and valve on the tank adjusts clockwise. If adjusting is needed, we suggest only turning each fitting 1/8 of a turn at a time.

What is the warranty for these tanks?

We warranty all our tanks. Our customers have rarely had any issues, but we will happily replace any tanks as needed.

How much does each tank weigh?

Each empty tank weighs 20 lbs.

How much does it cost to ship one tank?

We base our shipping costs off of weight. One tank costs $20 to ship.
